To carry the weight of decisions no one else sees. To wake up already exhausted from the conversation you&#8217;ve been having with yourself all night.</p><p>And the longer it goes on, the more it feels like the harder you try to fix it, the worse it gets.</p><p>This is why I made this training.</p><p>Of course you&#8217;ve heard every piece of advice out there. You&#8217;ve probably tried every method, every podcast, every book. I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ve felt the disappointment of trying something new and watching it fade by Wednesday.</p><p>Believe me, I see you &#8212; which is why I know you&#8217;re not lazy, and you&#8217;re not broken.</p><p><strong>The truth is, you&#8217;re someone with high standards trapped in a mind that won&#8217;t let you meet them.</strong></p><div><hr></div><h4>Why Force Backfires</h4><p>You probably already know you lack control over your life because you cannot control what happens inside your head.</p><p>This is a fact.</p><p>As a result, the more you try to control it, the more your mind resists and acts out.</p><p>And here&#8217;s what most get wrong.</p><p>They try to discipline themselves. They try to use more authority, more willpower, to force themselves to get what&#8217;s done.</p><p>But if you&#8217;re ambitiously minded, that backfires &#8212; because your mind has been rewarded by following its own instinct. Trying to file it down and discipline it will not work.</p><p>So now you have to choose between force, and something else entirely.</p><p><strong>Everything you want in life is on the other side of you and your subconscious mind working together.</strong></p><p>Just picture that for a second.</p><p>Suppose you&#8217;re wanting to hit a new financial ceiling &#8212; like my client who hit a million a month.</p><p>Or perhaps you want to stop procrastinating on the things that fill you with joy &#8212; the things that, once you do them, give you glimpses into your potential. It&#8217;s amazing. You feel wonderful.</p><p>Or maybe it&#8217;s that you&#8217;re overcome with anxiety in social situations. You can&#8217;t sleep at night because situations keep circling your head. You feel like people don&#8217;t respect you anymore, because they can see the physical anxiety on you.</p><p>Whatever it is every solution is you and your subconscious mind working together.</p><blockquote><p>In other words &#8212; it&#8217;s building a relationship between the two.</p></blockquote><p>And once you understand this, and put it into practice with what I&#8217;m going to show you building on the previous weeks and today &#8212; you will rebuild that partnership.</p><p>It&#8217;s almost like two people playing together to reach the same goal.</p><p>It&#8217;s automatic.</p><div><hr></div><h4>First, the Foundation</h4><p>But before any of that can happen, the foundation has to be in place.</p><p>As we said last week, the breath is important.</p><p>Can you remember it?</p><p>From there, we build that respect in your mind, just as we did your body.</p><p><strong>Your mind has to respect what you have to say. Because right now, it probably doesn&#8217;t.</strong></p><p>And the more you say to yourself, <em>&#8220;we need to do this, we have to do this&#8221;</em>  and you don&#8217;t do it. The more you say, <em>&#8220;I can&#8217;t be like this anymore&#8221;</em>  and you don&#8217;t make the change.</p><p>As a consequence, it just reinforces that you have no leverage. No authority. Your subconscious doesn&#8217;t respect you.</p><p>Let this all sink in for a moment.</p><h4>Breaking the Cycle</h4><p>So now you have to choose between carrying on the cycle, or breaking it.</p><p><strong>Number one &#8212; remove the words </strong><em><strong>I have</strong></em><strong>, </strong><em><strong>I should</strong></em><strong>, </strong><em><strong>I need to</strong></em><strong>.</strong></p><p>Listen closely:</p><p>These words are a reaction to not having authority or control. You try to discipline yourself out of anger and out of frustration.</p><p>But you&#8217;re probably in a cycle of this and here&#8217;s how we break it.</p><p>With this in mind, we return to the foundation.</p><p>Going back to last week: relaxation.</p><p>We bring the guard down. The logic. The heaviness. The tension.</p><p>And we just get used to relaxing.</p><p>And as you begin to breathe slower, your mind begins to remember what the feeling of calm is like.</p><p>Physiologically, this changes your brain waves, your heart rate. You enter a more peaceful, restorative state of mind.</p><p>And from that place, you can make changes in the subconscious.</p><p>But let&#8217;s think of it differently.</p><blockquote><p>Think of it like calming down an old friend. You&#8217;ve had some issues, and you&#8217;re just settling things, so you can reason with each other again.</p></blockquote><p>This is only the first half, once it&#8217;s calm, we suggest an improved way forward.</p><h4>Suggestion &#8212; How You Seduce the Mind</h4><p>Now, I can almost hear your mind saying &#8212; <em>but what if just breathing doesn&#8217;t work for me?</em></p><p>Maybe your body reacts. Maybe just breathing doesn&#8217;t do it for you.</p><p>Because once again your subconscious still doesn&#8217;t respect your word.</p><p>For this reason, this week we are going to use suggestion.</p><p><strong>Because suggestion is how you seduce your mind into getting what you want.</strong></p><p>I want you to go deep into your own mind and visualise this. I want you to understand this principle. Pay close attention.</p><p>How you persuade other people is just a reflection of how you persuade your own mind.</p><p>Persuasive people. Influential, seductive, attractive people. Charismatic people.</p><p>They are that way because, naturally, that&#8217;s how they speak to themselves &#8212; whether unconsciously, or because they&#8217;ve learned it consciously.</p><blockquote><p>You want to seduce your mind into whatever it is you want. Into the thoughts you desire. You show it. You suggest it. You seduce it with imagery and emotion. You make it exciting, like it&#8217;s its own idea  and allow it to latch on.</p></blockquote><p>In doing so, there&#8217;s zero resistance.</p><p>You&#8217;re attracted to the things you want to do.</p><p>It listens.</p><p>It respects you.</p><h4>This Week&#8217;s Practice</h4><p>With this newly learned knowledge, here&#8217;s what we do this week.</p><p>I&#8217;m going to create a full script of suggestion and relaxation for you to use.</p><p>But more importantly, remove from your mind that this is just a script and an exercise.</p><p><strong>This is a pattern of internal speech. You are learning it.</strong></p><p>The practice I&#8217;m giving you is developing the self-talk that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Forever.</p><p>This is the training.</p><p>If you act upon this, you will develop this skill for the rest of your life.</p><p>And so &#8212; in moments of complete anxiety. When there&#8217;s pressure to perform. When there&#8217;s people and expectations.</p><p>With every passing minute of practice, you build the groove.</p><p>You know how to calm yourself. You know how to get into that state.</p><h4>The Bonus &#8212; Record It</h4><p>And there&#8217;s more.</p><p>I&#8217;m going to give you a bonus tip.</p><p>The idea is you record it. You record it, and you get a texture for it.</p><p>And as you&#8217;re recording, with each word you read, you feel more and more the state you want.</p><p>So as you&#8217;re reading this relaxation letter, begin to feel relaxed.</p><p>Begin to feel your limbs go lighter. Feet more planted on the floor. Breath slowing.</p><p>Do as the reading says and you automatically infuse that state more often.</p><p>Not only do you learn how to physically do it then and there, the recording becomes more powerful too.</p><p>This is what I&#8217;m talking about.</p><p><strong>Active training. Automatic training. No one else is doing this. There&#8217;s nowhere else on the internet.</strong></p><h4>Why Your Voice &#8212; Not Theirs</h4><p>Just think about it.</p><p>If you want to improve your mind &#8212; and you go to a therapist, or watch a YouTube guide on meditation &#8212; those can have some effect.</p><p>But at some point, your mind will not accept them fully.</p><p>Because yes, it might work for the short term. But you&#8217;re still not building that voice of respect.</p><p><strong>It&#8217;s not your voice. It&#8217;s someone else&#8217;s.</strong></p><p>And so, learning the scripts. Learning how to speak to yourself. And then practising that.</p><p>This is what builds the internal voice.</p><p>And as well as the script, your physiology needs support. I&#8217;m also going to include a full relaxation routine &#8212; supplements and psychology tips that help you effectively at night-time, to quiet these thoughts as well.</p><p><em>That&#8217;s next week. The breath work from last week, and this &#8212; super important.</p><p>Of course, some people skip past it. And consequently, they never quite understand why the deeper work won&#8217;t take.</p><p>Because here&#8217;s the quiet truth: if you can&#8217;t yet hold a single thought, for ten or fifteen minutes &#8212;</p><blockquote><p>You will never be able to make the changes you want in your subconscious mind. You will not be able to do self-hypnosis. You will not unlock the greater potential of your mind.</p></blockquote><p>So let it settle for a moment.</p><p>The basics.</p><p>I know what you&#8217;re thinking, <em>I get it. It&#8217;s mundane. It&#8217;s training.</em></p><p>And honestly, that&#8217;s exactly why it lives here, with the paid members. Because there&#8217;s more skin in the game.</p><p>You show up every week. And I see all the DMs, of all you quietly putting in the work.    ]]></content:encoded></item><item><title><![CDATA[How to Speak to Your Subconscious to Get What You Want]]></title><description><![CDATA[The Subconscious Upgrade &#8212; Vol III]]></description><link>https://sosams.substack.com/p/how-to-speak-to-your-subconscious</link><guid isPermaLink="false">https://sosams.substack.com/p/how-to-speak-to-your-subconscious</guid><dc:creator><![CDATA[Sosa]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Wed, 10 Jun 2026 12:20:55 GMT</pubDate><enclosure url="https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/536c62da-de71-41fc-8ce4-2bed23521177_960x639.webp" length="0" type="image/jpeg"/><content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><hr></div><h2>The Subconscious Upgrade &#8212; Week 3</h2><div><hr></div><blockquote><p><strong>STOP.</strong></p></blockquote><p>You are reading this because <strong>something inside you already knows.</strong></p><p>You already know what to do don&#8217;t you?</p><p>You know what would change your life if you started doing it tomorrow morning and yet an invisible force paralyses you into procrastination.</p><p>As a matter of fact, what you call a lack of discipline is something else entirely.</p><blockquote><p><em>The truth is, discipline is a sign you lack authority within your mind.</em></p></blockquote><p>You do not trust yourself, and so you resort to force, to obedience, to whipping yourself into shape.</p><p>This creates resistance and if you&#8217;re ambitiously minded, you&#8217;ll revolt against it.</p><p>You probably already know this but I&#8217;m going to say it anyway so your subconscious mind can hear it loud and clear.</p><div><hr></div><h3>The solution is seduction.</h3><p>To seduce your mind with your goals, your vision, your to-do list &#8212; and allow yourself to <em>naturally</em> move towards them.</p><p>Willpower is then used as nitrous.</p><p>A boost here and there.</p><p>Not a fuel.</p><blockquote><p><strong>This is the fundamental principle of self-hypnosis.</strong></p></blockquote><p>This is what I will teach you over the coming months.</p><p>You don&#8217;t realise it yet, but after consistent practice of what I share with you this week, you&#8217;ll begin to feel  for perhaps the first time in years <em>as if your mind is on your side.</em></p><div><hr></div><h3>Now, let me ask you a personal question.</h3><p>When was the last time your subconscious actually listened to you?</p><p>When you asked it to be calm, did it calm?</p><p>When you required confidence, did it deliver?</p><p>When you needed sleep did it grant it, or did it spend three hours interrogating you about something that happened in 2017?</p><p>If you&#8217;re like most, the answer is uncomfortable.</p><blockquote><p><strong>Your subconscious has stopped listening, because you&#8217;ve stopped speaking to it with respect.</strong></p></blockquote><p>Just imagine what it would be like if that changed.</p><p><em>Picture yourself with a mind that hears you.</em></p><p>Just imagine for a moment, your thoughts respected, your ideas valued, your reassurance immediately soothing doubt. You will retain a clear image of what it feels like to laugh at comparing yourself to others, <em>because the comparison no longer holds you.</em></p><p>As you continue to picture this, you begin to realise <strong>this is how your mind is supposed to work.</strong></p><p>When your subconscious respects you, it listens, and it executes.</p><blockquote><p><em>You ask to fall asleep &#8212; and it hears you.</em></p><p><em>You require confidence &#8212; and it sees you.</em></p><p><em>You feel out of your depth &#8212; and it reminds you of why you&#8217;re not.</em></p></blockquote><p>With every passing minute you practice this, the channel between you and your deeper mind opens further.</p><p>Now, just imagine what would happen if we applied this to every area of your life.</p><blockquote><p><strong>What would you now be able to do?</strong></p></blockquote><div><hr></div><h3>To begin with, our first focus is to learn how to relax your mind.</h3><p><strong>Concentration of mind is a fundamental skill.</strong></p><p>Every other skill &#8212; whether self-hypnotic or real-world &#8212; is a product of concentration.</p><p>Without doubt, this is the root.</p><p><em>Picture this for a moment.</em></p><p>The presence in your eyes as you look into a room you&#8217;re speaking to.</p><p>The poised attention as you handle a difficult conversation.</p><p><em>What you focus on, you realise more of &#8212; and see more often &#8212; until it becomes the focal point of your daily experience.</em></p><p>The more you practice, the more control you have over anxiety, fear and panic in real situations.</p><p>You are able to physiologically calm your nervous system through the persuasion of your own thought.</p><p>Little by little, you learn to tame the seductive nature of negative thoughts.</p><p>Which can be difficult, because <strong>we live in a world of distraction.</strong></p><p>This is why we treat these letters as sacred.</p><blockquote><p>We listen.</p><p>We understand.</p><p>And we act upon them.</p></blockquote><p>For the coming letters, we are dedicated to this practice exclusively.</p><p>In order of progression, each week you&#8217;ll become more and more authoritative over your own autonomy.</p><p>With this in mind <strong>are you ready to learn how to regain control of your mind?</strong></p>

From this place you&#8217;re allowed to be wrong, to lose, to fail. None of it questions whether you&#8217;re worthy.</p><p>To me, that&#8217;s true confidence.</p><p>To be eager to live even when life is uncertain.</p><p>Now let yourself get in touch with the feelings of self-trust &#8212; because you&#8217;ve felt it before. You know what I&#8217;m talking about.</p><p>It&#8217;s true because your brain compares your off days against these moments.</p><p>What would happen if you experienced this daily?</p><p>What type of person would you become?</p><h3>With this in mind, this week I want you to deeply think about a single idea: <strong>your personal ethos.</strong></h3><div><hr></div><h3><strong>The original meaning.</strong></h3><p>The word <em>ethos</em> is Greek. &#7974;&#952;&#959;&#962;.</p><p>Most people use it to mean the values or character of a person or culture.</p><p>Look further back and the original Greek is far more interesting. Ethos meant <strong>&#8220;accustomed place.&#8221;</strong> </p><p>In other words, the habitat or ground an animal returned to instinctively.</p><p>Only later did the Greeks apply the same word to <em>people</em>, and only then to mean the inner ground a person habitually lives from.</p><p>Your ethos, in the original sense, is <strong>the familiar place inside yourself that you actually live from.</strong></p><p>The Greeks understood something else. Heraclitus put it bluntly: <em>&#275;thos anthr&#333;p&#333;i daim&#333;n</em> &#8212; &#8220;a man&#8217;s ethos is his destiny.&#8221; Character was <em>was</em> fate. The ground you habitually returned to became the life you lived.</p><p>Aristotle took it further. Ethos, for him, was character built through habit; moral nature shaped by what you repeatedly do, repeatedly choose, repeatedly think. </p><p>Which hints at my adapted philosphy of Cogito Ergo Sum.</p><p><strong>Can you begin to see the connections now?</strong></p><p>So when we talk about ethos this week, we refer to this and not a gimmicky mood board or affirmations:</p><p>The values which motivate you. The beliefs that inspire your character. The way you approach difficulty, intimacy, work, rest. The passions you return to whether life rewards them or not. The connections between your craft, your art, your relationships, your sense of meaning &#8212; the threads that, when you look at them honestly, weave together to make you, <em>you</em>.</p><div><hr></div><h3><strong>This week&#8217;s practice: discover your own ethos.</strong></h3><p>Set aside thirty minutes. A notebook open in front of you.</p><h4><strong>Step one &#8212; drift back.</strong></h4><p>Allow yourself to drift back in time when life felt rawest. Can you remember a time when nothing else existed except that current moment? Maybe a moment of presence. Maybe a moment of joy. Maybe an accomplishment that meant something to you. Maybe a feeling of passion, or flow, or wildness, or quiet, or love.</p><p>Just picture this for a moment.</p>

What&#8217;s in there? What&#8217;s the colour scheme; warm, cold, dim, bright? </p><p>Is the room organised or chaotic? </p><p>Are the walls bare or covered? Is there light coming in, or is it shut out?</p><p>As you continue to picture this room, pay attention to how you feel inside it.</p><p>Are you relaxed and at peace?</p><p>Or on edge, scanning the exits, wanting to leave?</p><p>Notice what&#8217;s around you. Notice what&#8217;s stacked in the corners.
