You’d never admit it, but deep down, you know I’m right:
You’re far superior to them.
More intelligent, better skills, more competent. You’ve put in the work, refined your abilities, and you know you’re capable of so much more.
Yet despite all of this, they seem to glide through the ranks without the weight of anxiety holding them back.
No constant overthinking. No crippling stress and your unconscious mind perceives this as a moment of jealousy and envy.
It’s hard not to wonder why they seem to have it so easy when you know you’ve earned your success.
Now, let me ask you a personal question because I know how easy it is to slip under the trance of this train of thought:
What is it trying to evoke within you?
Why would it produce these feelings?
Why would comparison create frustration?
Think about it.
The truth is:
You feel anger because you know you’ve experienced the carefreeness they showcase.
You just hold yourself back from it.
As a matter of fact, the subconscious has never once compared you to someone it believed you could not become.
Those flashes of assertiveness and creative genius are within you.
The solution is to give yourself permission to be this version of you and as you absorb this, you’ll notice permission is a strange thing.
You’ve collected enough wins to know that you already have what you desire within, haven’t you?
Cogito Ergo Sum
